Winter Wildlife Safari

Take a Wildlife Safari to view the variety of animals in the Jackson Hole area. Whether you are looking for bison, elk, bald eagles, or mountain goats; let our experienced naturalist guides show you the way. You may do half day tours or full day adventures. Tours include transportation; spotting scopes & binoculars.
Explore different areas of Jackson Hole. Stop by the elk refuge to see over 6000 elk wintered in Jackson. Or explore the vast mountain range of the Gros Ventre, complete with mountain goats and sheep!! You will get numerous photos of the different Wyoming animals you came to see!!
Season: December thru April

FULL DAY SAFARI  - This guided tour includes pastries & coffee; transportation; lunch; stop at the National Wildlife Museum and a ride on a horse drawn sleigh though the National Elk Refuge in one of the largest elk herds in North America.

Full Day:  8 hours Pick up at 7:30 In Town and at 7:00AM at Teton Village

1/2 DAY SUNRISE OR SUNSET TOUR - This guided tour includes transportation; coffee; Frequent stops and photo ops for viewing bison, elk, deer, moose, fox etc. 

1/2 day 4 hours with AM pick up In Town @ 7:30 and in Teton Village @ 7:00AM.

PM tour pick up times vary depending on time of year.

Sleigh Rides

Take a relaxing ride through the National Elk Refuge. Dress warmly and bring your camera, as you will be riding alongside the numerous elk that winter in the Jackson Hole Refuge. The activity usually lasts approximately 1 ½ hours from check in to departure at the Visitors Center.

Snow Shoeing Tours

Snowshoeing in Jackson Hole is a great way to experience the untouched and untracked! Decide between snowshoeing beneath the Teton Range or hiking out to the snowy banks of the Snake River. Trips are available in the morning, afternoon and evening.  The Snake River trips take advantage of our Tipi camp, where we can serve hot meals and drinks midway through our journey.  Call for more information.

Dinner Sleigh Ride Tours

East Gros Venture Butte Dinner Sleigh Ride

Enjoy a memorable ride along the ridge of East Gros Venture Butte, overlooking the Teton Mountain range.  The sleigh ride lasts approximately 45 minutes.  Dress warm with hats, gloves, boots and winter jackets.

Teton Village Dinner Sleigh Rides

Sleigh rides leave from the Nordic Center (across the street from the Snake River Lodge).  We travel to the "Grey Barn," an old homestead barn that was built in the early 1900's and is still kept in immaculate shape. From here we take a tour in the meadow. 

After returning to the Nordic Center guests are shuttled on a five minute van drive to the Game Fish Restaurant.  Once at the door guests are escorted to their reserved table.  After dinner, it is up to the guests to get back to their vehicle or resort.  Shuttles from the Game Fish Restaurant to the ranch parking lot after dinner can be accommodated only by request.

Open December 15th - April 1 conditions permitting

Available 7 days a week at 5PM and 7PM  (please arrive 10 minutes prior)
Sleigh ride is approx. 30 - 45 minutes

Mill Iron Ranch Dinner Sleigh Ride

You will go on a 40-45 minute sleigh ride on the Mill Iron Ranch, which borders Horse Creek Feed Ground. You will see Elk, Deer that eat with the horses, and you may see an occasional Moose and possibly Wolves.

After returning from the sleigh ride, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Chancy's World Famous 1 1/4lb T-Bone Steak, corn on the cob, baked potato, salad, bread, desert and non alcoholic drinks. Other food options are available upon request.

Yellowstone Snow Coach Tours

Sit back and enjoy the scenery to Old Faithful in comfort as you are being chauffeured by an experienced, knowledgeable guide. This tour will take you to the Old Faithful Geyser making several stops along the way to learn about the Park's history, view thermal features, and take pictures.
You and your guide leave early, between 6 and 7am. You'll drive up to the South entrance of Yellowstone, 60 miles North of town, where you will have breakfast and then transfer from the shuttle van into the snowcoach.
You'll travel the 45 miles (one-way) of groomed trail to Old Faithful, making several stops along the way, with opportunities to get out and walk around. Points of interest may include Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, and West Thumb Geyser Basin. You'll see Old Faithful erupt and have lunch before continuing on your adventure. You'll return to your lodging around 6-7pm.

Equipment needed: winter clothing, coat, hat, gloves, appropriate shoes, and camera.
Pickup Time: 6am-7am, you will get a more specific pickup time 24 hours or more before your trip
Drop-off Time: 6pm-7pm
Breakfast:  Hot breakfast buffet at Flagg Ranch
Lunch:  We pack in lunches and eat lunch at the warming huts/yurts at Old Faithful.

Deposit and Cancellation: 100% deposit at time of booking.  24 hour cancellation/change policy (from pickup time).  If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, there is a 5% cancellation fee.  72 hour cancellation policy for private or group trips.

To make a trip private:  For January 5 - February 12, you pay for 8 seats in the snow coach seats minimum (or how many you need) to make a trip private.  For any other time, paying for 10 snow coach seats makes a trip private.

Dog Sled Guided Tours

Come feel the thrill of driving or "mushing" your very own dog team through forests and mountains of the Jackson Hole area. Let the Alaskan Huskies be your guide!!
Choose between a day tour to a natural hot springs in the Teton National Forest, or tour the mountainous area of the Continental Divide and check out views of the spectacular Teton mountain range.
Granite Hot Springs
Half day tour:
$255 per person. Covers 12 miles of trail with a stop for a small picnic lunch in the Teton national forest.
Full day tour:
$325 per person. Covers 20 miles of trail with the highlight being the stop at the Granite Hot Springs. Sit and soak in the natural 105 degree hot springs while the guide prepares you a beef stew lunch. (Vegetarian option is available)
Continental Divide
Half Day tour:
$240 per person. Enjoy miles of exciting trails in the Togwotee pass area with spectacular Teton views!! Price includes transportation to and from your lodging as well as lunch.
